Christmas Eve Eve is upon us, which means time to get that last-minute bakign in. We've roundup up a few of our favorite holiday recipes that are easy to prepare AND real crowd pleasers! Enjoy.
Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free Christmas CRACK-ers have been a long time fave of mine because 1) they are incredibly quick and simple to make. Typically less than 20 minutes of making and baking, then just playing the waiting game till everything cools and hardens which is why I like to make it right before bed, that way I am not tempted to indulge before it’s completely set, and 2) each bite is like a flavor bomb in your mouth—crunchy, creamy, crisp, sweet, salty…is Heaven a flavor? To describe this sweet treat it should be. And 3) It’s a great way to use up a half empty bag of crackers or candy canes after the holidays.
So to recap, these cookies…well—They’ve got chocolate chips. They’ve got marshmallows. They’re gluten-free. They’re vegan. ‘Nuff said.
Of course we’re subbing the crunch of the cookie edges for the traditional graham cracker.
This is one of those recipes that’s fantastic for the holidays because they’re impressive AND delicious to even those without any dietary preferences or allergies. Plus it has all the cozy comfort winter and the nostalgia of bonfires past.
Now peppermint and chocolate have always been a winning combination, but the addition of crunchy, salty pretzels kicks each bite up a notch!
In need of a quick holiday sweet treat everyone will enjoy? BOOM—chocolate peppermint bark! These are easy, easy, easy to make, and yet still somewhat impressive looking.
Aptly named for their intricate look, these cookies are surprising simple to make. The delicate, crispy design occurs naturally in the oven so you don’t have to be artistic in order to make them.
Each buttery bite melts in your mouth while the toasted pecan pieces do a little dance on your taste buds.
Excellent with an afternoon cuppa or as an impressive homemade holiday gift (hint, hint!)
We’re here today to celebrate the deliciousness that is chocolate crinkle cookies. Fudgy chocolate, crisp edge cookies with a melted coating of powdered sugar. They’re dang good. DANG GOOD!
And since you use a store-bought cake mix box to make them, they are incredibly easy. Perfect for holiday baked good exchange, a great way to keep the kids busy (though the powdered sugar can be messy), and a extra special cookie to leave out for Santa.
It’s a simple addition to this bite-size sweet treat, but one that can really step it up. Especially if you’re interested in these as a homemade holiday gift.
And if you are thinking that then I recommend after dipping them in chocolate, sprinkling them with holiday colored nonpareils, quins or jimmies for a fun and festive addition.
Each cookie is soft, but crunchy. Sweet enough to satisfy that sweet tooth and yet light enough to not feel like you blow your New Year’s Fitness Resolutions. :) Gluten-Free, Vegan Poppyseed Roll Cookies are also AMAZING with a cup of tea.
