You’ve seen them all over Instagram. Urban art walls are the new black. The perfect backdrop. Locals and those just in Nashville for the weekend capture their experience with photos in front of one (if not several) of the city’s colorful walls and murals. They’re the perfect insta-opportunity! That’s a thing, right?
Mural hunting is a great way to get out of the main tourist-y areas and explore the lesser trafficked neighborhoods, especially if you’ve already done the traditional Nashville activities and tours.
Instead of driving around hoping you’ll find what you’re looking for, I’ve rounded up some of our favorite Instagram-worthy walls throughout downtown Nashville and the surrounding neighborhoods. However at some of the most popular ones like the “What Lifts You” wings in the Gulch and “I Believe in Nashville” in 12South, be prepared to wait. The queues can get quite long with those wanting the perfect photo op as a Nashville souvenir.
