Well by this point we'd been on the pregnancy rollercoaster for a few months (bad appointment, good appointment, extra monitoring, changing plans...) so when things started trending back downwards and we were coming up on 34 weeks - our goal at the time was 35 weeks - we were fully expecting to be delivering baby within the week. So we were so grateful to squeeze in one more session with Danae.
Danae took our fabulous pregnancy announcement photos back in June so things had changed a lot since then. Obviously I had a much more noticeable bump now! :)
And the timing was perfect! Apple season was in full swing and for those who don't know, apple picking is LeBraun and my's favorite fall activity. We leave with wheelbarrows full of apple. Not joking. They fill up our fridge for the next several months. Not the mention the following week, a very early temperature drop with snowfall came through and wrecked the harvest, which was a bummer but we did get the pics in time.
We are so in love with them! Once again Danae captured this precious milestone / life event for us beautifully. We had so much fun playing in the orchard + her dad even gave us a jug of homemade apple juice. It was delicious!
The shoot was all the more special because once we got out IUGR diagnosis everything was up in the air including delivery. We were being told that there was a good chance we would have to delivery sweet little one around 26 weeks. In fact our first "goal" set by the perinatologist was to make it to 27 weeks gestation. That's how serious things were. We are BEYOND blessed to have made it to 34 weeks (and ultimately to 37 weeks), and so appreciative to Danae for squeezing us in for one more session. THANK YOU!
