Few buildings are more iconic than The Sydney Opera House! Located on Bennelong Point, the SOH jets out into the city’s famous harbor where it is visible from all sides. It’s vaulted shell houses 8 performances venue, recording studios, cafes, restaurants, bars and a few retail outlets.

Visiting the SOH is a must-do when in Sydney. Enjoy a drink or lunch at the Opera Bar, catch a performance, register for a guided tour, or simply take in the view of this architectural gem from The Rocks or Mrs. Macquarie’s Chair (especially during sunset!) No matter how “touristy” spending time at Circular Quay was, it remained one of our favorite places while we lived in Sydney!
