I whole-heartedly agree with former British Prime Minister. The double decker red buses are now a London icon. 

The first commercial horse-drawn double-decker omnibuses were introduced in England in 1847 by Adams & Co. of Fairfield, Bow as an effective form of mass transit for the city’s inhabitants.
